"p squared"...

"p squared" is the new name for team Dan and Trisha... because we both have last names that start with "p", and we are pretty much dominating! :)  Things are going well in Ohio.  I only have a few quick minutes in between helping Dan get claims closed, so we'll see how fluid I can make this.

We've only been here 3 days, but we have been to 25 houses.  This storm is SO much more fun than the CT storm, but SO much more work! Here's how we rock (over simplified)... We pretty much schedule everyone together, I do a lot of the prep paperwork, we "inspect" the houses together, then Dan does all of the closing paperwork.  So with a hail storm we start with inspecting the mailbox :) (they ALL have damage), then we look at the roof, then we complete a walk around of the whole exterior (lots of broken/dented windows, screens, siding, decks, etc). Each appointment takes about an hour, give or take. The storm produced tennis ball sized hail, so there is definitely damage.  The insureds have told us that the storm was just nuts - we've heard it a gazillion times from each of the 25 houses we've been too - funny how hyped up everyone is about it, but I guess it was probably a pretty crazy experience to see in "real time". Some people have even kept some of the hail pieces in their freezers and shown them too us - funny!  So today we ran 9 claims - started at 8:30am, finished in the field around 8:30pm, we are still working at the hotel now (11:30pm), and we'll probably continue for another hour or so.  It sounds like a lot, and it is, but I am absolutely LOVING it! And we'll get a break this weekend for Dispatch at Red Rocks - "work hard, play hard" (unofficial mission statement of p squared).  :)

We're both sunburned... It's been HOT here - 90ish. Drinking TONS of water!

I'm all decked out in "adjusting gear" now - keen shoes, hiking pants, polo tops, gloves (shingles are very hot), and a cute under armour hat! :)  I'll post a pic soon.  Think it would be weird to ask an insured to take a pic of Dan and I?  Haha! :)  We kind of look like twinkies - just sayin.
